Suiting up has changed drastically. No more the conservative investment banker suit of the past. Now it’s all about a choice of colours, as well as silhouettes. I happen to find a sleek, clean, silhouette with just the right detail appealing.Èlan is wearing a Top Shop suit, Zara shirt & shoes from his collection. In addition, he has opted for an edgier haircut to bring more dimension to his overall look.
Well done Èlan!
This look is one of my favourites…it’s such a modern twist on a classic, and perfect for summer to achieve a casual, yet pulled together feel. Courtney is wearing a #Brixton hat, Bread & Boxer tee, Louis Vuitton belt, Scotch& Soda/Ralston fit jeans and #Nixon watch.
My recent move consisted of almost 30 boxes, and no furniture, aside from a bookcase, coffee table and bed. As for the 30 boxes? I’m embarrassed to admit the majority consisted of beauty products and clothing.
I have vowed to simplify tremendously, I actually felt gluttonous as I unpacked what seemed like an endless supply of clothing and beauty items. I refuse to allow material things to over-run my life, which is the reason, I’m simplifying in every area…starting with my wardrobe. I’m taking a long hiatus from shopping…I’ll be sharing tips on how to bring life back to those garments which haven’t seen light in years, and incorporating vintage finds. Of course, I’ll also keep it modern and fresh, through a little help from my friends who aren’t pondering taking a hiatus from wardrobe shopping anytime soon…lol.
Seems there’s no better time to start than the present. Victoria Bouchard has a sense of style which she has owned. She’s never trendy and always modern without following the latest fads of the moment. Here, she is wearing a Sandro-Paris dress, with a James Perse slip, a Black Denim leather jacket and Doc Martin boots. The final look is simple, funky and hip…#iloveeverythingaboutit
Whether Adam Casey (better known as Adam Excess) is gearing up to DJ a gig in some part of the world, or just hanging out prowling for catchy beats to add to his endless library of music, his style is always on point.A backwards baseball cap, destroyed tee, loose cropped cotton pants, sneakers, arm candy and an exquisite tattoo make for a pulled together, yet relaxed look. http://www.soundcloud.com/adam-excess
I’ve more than my fair share of pencil skirts, which haven’t been worn for some time. I go through fashion phases. It was all about the skinny, bootcut & boyfriend denim styles for awhile, and although I’m not ditching any of the above, I think it’s time to resurrect my pencil skirts. Today I opted for this asymmetrical Esisto pencil skirt in eggplant, with a cropped fisherman’s sweater from American Apparel, Alexander Wang shoes and one of my favourite statement pieces of Jewelry. A necklace I found years ago at a consignment shop in Chicago.
This look is feminine, sexy, relevant and most anyone can rock it. I don’t know about you, however, I need a hiatus from denim everyday. Time to get back in touch with my feminine side;)
I should have been in fourth stage REM sleep by now, but not before a little bedtime reading for inspiration, then lights out…sweet dreams, make this new day great;))
“Never allow someone to be your priority, while allowing yourself to be their option.”
If ever you find yourself in this predicament, don’t fear leaving, the void will surely be filled with someone exponentially healthier. Walking away from someone who is not edifying is imperative, although, it ain’t that easy…
As little as one month ago, I was scrambling to find a place to call home. It got down to the wire people, meaning I was down to one week and zero prospects. I began contemplating leaving the State, and plenty of other nonsense.
I began to pray fervently, asking God specifically for what I wanted in a dwelling, I then proceeded to hand this heavy burden over to Him to carry. I’m simply not built for heavy lifting, besides, He says we are to do both…cast our burdens on Him and simply ask for what we want. “You have not because you ask not. ” No, God’s not a genie, however, when our will lines up with His will for us…It is done!
Home sweet home… I received ALL I asked of Him and then some. I am so very blessed💗
Bad hair day, good hair day…feeling chic? Festive? Sophisticated? Brixton has the hat for you. I’ve worked up a collection I keep in consistent rotation. A great Brixton can take an outfit from mundane to maaah-va-lous dahling.
I quite like my latest acquisition. Check out the entire collection, choose one or many and rock it/them out!
How annoying is it to listen to a Southern Californian complain about cold weather? I’ve made the mistake of commenting a few times, rather innocently about the cold on occasion, and each time I would no longer be among the living if looks could kill. Of course, it would be in the company of someone from the East Coast or Mid-West. These days I’m sure not to come across as complaining, however, as one who happily embraces it. Although the weather has been inclement, we handle it with thin layers, keeping it chic and cozy. We never know if temps will soar by midday, this way we’re able to remove pieces if necessary, while maintaining a relevant, modern look.
Natasha is rocking one of my favourite looks. There’s no bulk, the lines are clean and black and white are timeless together. Each of these pieces came from Natasha’s personal wardrobe. This double breasted 3/4 length thin wool coat over a flecked grey sweater paired with skinny, white denim and the perfect stacked heel sandal, garner little Ms. Natasha, Stylista Muse…the top bun is such the icing on this look.
